Dear Families and Makerspace Community,
In a continuing attempt to keep everyone safe, all Makerspace programming for the Spring Session (May 11 to June 26, 2020) is cancelled. Refunds will be issued shortly.
This affects the following programs: Create Comix, 3D Print Another Piece, Creative Coding, Eclectic Electric, Techxploration, LGBTQ+ Tech Club
Though our facilities will be closed to the public during this time, we are currently offering a variety of online resources (found in the Learn section of the website) specially designed by our staff for at-home learning. These include maker activities, design challenges, lesson plans, and video tutorials—among others.
Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for brand new releases every week.
Please stay tuned for updates regarding our summer programs. We apologize for any inconvenience, and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Thank you very much for your participation in our programs and your understanding.
The Lindsay Makerspace is a community space for people to explore, make, create, think, play, share, learn, unlearn, hack, and discuss. We are focused on supporting digital justice and building gender and racial equity in STEAM by providing access to space, educational workshops, tools, and resources; along with opportunities for mentorship, employment, and production. Our goal is to implement equitable practices in digital literacy initiatives that harness the strength of culturally diverse ways of being and doing to build agency and ownership in the use of technology as a creative tool.
